Date: 14th February 2025
Organized by: The Community Servants
On 14th February 2025, "The Community Servants" undertook a meaningful cleanliness drive at the revered site of Asthan-e-Shareef, Budgam. This sacred location, holding deep spiritual significance for the community, had unfortunately seen a build-up of waste and neglect over time — particularly in and around the graveyard area.
Understanding the importance of preserving not just our environment but also our cultural and religious sites, volunteers from different areas gathered in solidarity under our initiative to clean and restore the sanctity of this holy space.
Key Highlights of the Drive:
Waste and plastic collection from the graveyard and surrounding area.
Participation of over 10+ dedicated volunteers.
Awareness among locals regarding maintaining cleanliness in such sacred areas.
Respectful handling of the premises, preserving its dignity and heritage.
The drive wasn’t just about cleaning — it was about reviving respect for our places of spirituality, setting an example for others, and sending a message that "cleanliness is a collective responsibility."
We thank all volunteer members who joined us for this noble effort and encourage others to support such initiatives in the future. Small steps like these build towards a cleaner, more responsible society.
